Farestart is a job training program, created to help homeless and disadvantaged individuals get back on their feet. They train these individuals for careers in the restaurant industry. Lunch is served daily on weekdays and they have "Guest Chef Nights" every Thursday. Guest Chef Nights features a local Seattle Chef from one of Seattle's top restaurants, who comes in and works with the students to prepare three-course meals. It's also an awesome deal - 3 courses for $24.95! This is at the top of my Restaurant-to-do List!
Even though I already liked the restaurant because of it's mission statement, the food wasn't too bad either. I'll be back for one of those Guest Chef Night dinners.
Why can't all philanthropic acts taste sooo good?!!
