OH.MY.GOD.
I have just eaten what is arguably the World's greatest sandwich! It is definitely the best thing I have ever eaten...sandwich or not. BEST, BEST, BEST!!!
I read a lot of online reviews to figure out which restaurant I should try out next and have been reading a lot about Paseo, a small cuban food shack in Fremont (and a new location in Ballard). They serve many types of cuban sandwiches and plates. But there is one item on their menu that gets more than it's share of positive reviews, it's called the Midnight Cuban Sandwich.
Before moving any further, I have something to disclose. I am a sandwich connoisseur, therefore I am partial to sandwiches in general. I eat sandwiches everyday, sometimes twice a day. But never have I ever tasted a sandwich like this. It consists of slow roasted pork, caramelized onions, cilantro, ham, swiss, seasoned mayo on a baguette.
(As a side note, I don't care for pork too much, hardly ever eat anything with mayo on it and I absolutely hate cilantro....but for some strange reason, in this sandwich...it works! THAT's how good it is!) Did I mention that this sandwich is the BEST?!!
I once read a view about this place claiming it was 'orgasm in the form of a pork sandwich'. As vulgar as that sounds, I'm going to have 100% completely agree with that statement. Sorry mom.

MIDNIGHT CUBAN SANDWICH
Cuban Roast Pork, Banana Peppers, Slices of Smoked Ham, Swiss Cheese, Aioli, Cilantro, Caramelized (HUGE) Onions, all on a Baguette then thrown into a Hot Press.
